A touch of “pertoliana” enters the mix for a restoration in the form of a 1925 Tokheim motor driven model 625 gas pump. It still has the original 10 gallon glass cylinder in very good condition. It will be restored as a “Blue Crown” gasoline pump. An original glass crown globe with it’s  existing paint in dire need of refinishing is the candidate for globe restoration. It will be meticulously masked off and repainted to match the original blue on the globe. After disassembly all metal and cast parts will be stripped, primed, sanded, and painted a combination of blue and metallic silver before assembly. The lights were rewired with new wire during the assembly process. All of the plating was done in nickel. A new white gas hose was installed. This is a project which is a little bit out of the ordinary but a fun project for the shop.
