This 1947 Ford Convertible is finally seeing the light of day as it is fresh out of a private collection. This “one only” Convertible is now offered for sale. Originally designed, owned, and built by Dave Crook, it was later redesigned by Harry Bentley Bradley before construction, a well known OEM designer out of Detroit. The modifications and fabrications are almost too numerous to mention. All metal work is superbly hand finished with all fill work done with lead. There is no plastic filler in the construction of this car. This car has remained in a protected and secure environment since it’s completion, only being shown on a very limited basis and driven on an even more limited basis. It remains in flawless and pristine condition. The total construction took a period of 15 years with over 5,000 man hours alone put into the body metal work and shaping before ready for primers and paint. The car has been featured in “The Rodder’s Journal” twice, once in a bare metal state, and the second time in a completed form.
