A FRESHLY BUILT TRUCK READY TO DRIVE AND ENJOY. This is the type of truck that you do not find for sale every day. This was Chevrolet’s answer to the Ford F-100 pick up. Most trucks like this are low budget and hashed together, and most often start with a beat up piece of junk to begin with. This truck started out as a nice original vehicle. This truck needs nothing except for a new owner. The truck runs, drives, starts and stops as good as it looks. The underside is very respectable and could use a little dusting off and clean up as it has had about 1,000 miles put on it. The paint is excellent, no wavey panels or welded up fenders. No bubbling or cracking. All around the truck the sheet metal is very straight and sound.

The engine is a brand new crate motor with less than 5,000 miles on it. It is a 440 HP 454 BB Chevy with a 750 CFM Edelbrock AFB. It has a new electric fuel pump, a Corvette dual snorkel air cleaner, a new MSD distributor ignition system, new plug wires, Sanderson headers with HPC coating, new aluminum dual core radiator with a custom shroud and a spal fan, Cal-Custom polished finned valve covers, and a remote battery with a Ctek charger/tender. The transmission is a 700R4 GM 4 speed overdrive with heavy duty internal clutches and gears, a 2400 heavy duty stall converter, and a transmission cooler. The rear end is a freshly rebuilt Ford 9″ with positraction, 31 spline axles, and a 3.50 ratio. The entire braking system is rebuilt. It has a power master cylinder with discs up front and drums on the rear. The front suspension is a Mustang II with a front power steering rack and the rear suspension has parallel leafs. The wheels are American style straight spoke mags by ET Wheels (Classic V), 16″ on the front and 17″ on the rear, and Michelin radials with less than 1,000 miles on them.

The exterior paint is a beautiful light turquoise that is approximately 2 years old. It shows no signs of any adhesion problems or any other kind of paint deficiency. The truck is always garaged and covered. The color is ’56 Chevrolet Twilight Turquoise with India Ivory trim. All of the chrome and stainless pieces have been restored. The pick up bed has all new oak flooring with the gas tank mounted under the bed floor.

The interior is a two-tone period correct theme. The seat is a two-tone naugahyde and cloth with period matching carpet. The interior sports an Ididit tilt column with a 15″ custom two-tone Chevrolet steering wheel. In the dash is a set of Classic electronic instruments with a tachometer. The sound system is a Rockford Fosgate 5 channel amp, an Alpine head, an Ipod dock, a 10″ subwoofer, and two 4×10 mid range speakers. The A/C is a Vintage Air unit. For storage it has a custom California Car Cover.

I cannot stress enough how sweet this little truck is. It has been very tastefully done. Nothing has really been spared in the build. All parts and components are top of the line name brand items. Part of the truck was restored at Steve’s Auto Restorations in Portland Oregon and the rest of the build has been shopped around by the owner at quality subcontractor shops down in the Phoenix area where it presently resides.

There is a “Buy it Now” price on the truck of $49,500.00 which is about 20% to 25% of the actual money in it, but ALL offers will be entertained. Trucks this nice do not come along very often. Email questions to steve@realsteel.com or call 503 665 2222.
